A very elegant cocktail made from ingredients you might just have on hand. This drink has about as much firepower as the 75-millimeter M1897, rapid fire, field gun for which it is named. One will definitely do the trick, but they are so delicious you will probably have two.
Ingredients
- Serves 1
- 2 ounces gin
- 1 ounce lemon juice
- 1 sugar cube
- Champagne
- Ice
Instructions
- Combine the gin, lemon juice and sugar cube in a cocktail shaker. Stir until the sugar has dissolved. Add a couple of handfuls of cracked ice, cover the shaker and mix vigorously. Strain into a champagne flute and top with chilled Champagne.
